On the one year anniversary of the passage of the Accessible Canada Act in 2020, Disability Inclusion Minister Carla Qualtrough said its coming into force sent a clear message to Canadians that systems will be designed inclusively from the start and persons with disabilities will no longer be treated as an afterthought.
