Juliet Johnson

Juliet Johnson is a professor of political science at McGill University and the author of A Fistful of Rubles: The Rise and Fall of the Russian Banking System. Her most recent book, Priests of Prosperity: How Central Bankers Transformed the Postcommunist World, published by Cornell University Press, 2016, is a 2016/17 finalist for the $50,000 Donner Prize, the award for the best public policy book of the year. The winner will be announced in Toronto on May 15. Each of the other winners will receive $7,500. Reprinted with permission from Cornell University Press.
