Better public transit, more and better access to high-speed broadband, water and irrigation infrastructure, and clean energy projects are all matters central to making communities livable in the 21st century and I am disappointed to see that it is rural Canadians who are left by the wayside, writes Sen. Amid fear during the first few months of the pandemic, farmers, producers, and processors stepped up to the task at hand and proved themselves not only to be able to feed Canadians, but also to feed the world, which in turn has resulted in greater trust and confidence in our food system.
