Virtual organizing: we may not know what it means yet, but can see political effects

Counting 'real' numbers and dismissing virtual numbers tell us nothing about the impact of Canada's new political virtual reality.

TORONTO—I figure I'd better get my licks in on prorogation before we move on to more important issues, like, say, the Olympics or better yet, the World Cup.

After numbers started to pour in from demonstrations across the country a few of my virtual friends and I had it out online—on Twitter to be precise. It took me some time to tune into what was in fact up for debate, which is hardly surprising since the Facebook group...
